  2. History Early Stages In recorded history, it is written that some time after the world genesis, first humans appeared in the world by the grace of the gods. In time their numbers grew extremely fast as the gods blessed them with intelligence so that they would have little difficulty surviving in this world; man learned to hunt, farm the land and craft. Pleased with their creation's progress, they taught humankind the proper way of living by providing an extensive list of forbidden actions. Thus humanity prospered over time and extended its reach to what now is known as the Human Empire. It is believed that the empire's capital: Centoria, is the birthplace of all humanity. From there, in time, brave individuals guided by the deities set off towards unknown remote regions where they founded new settlements, like Zakkaria and Rulid Village and thus acquired new land to cultivate for themselves. This expansionist quest lasted until people reached what is now called Mountain Range at the Edge or World Edge. In their explorations, people stumbled upon several apparently unsolvable obstacles throughout the human empire, that hindered them: a large tree that seem imposible to take down, a river stream that could not be crossed, a large boulder that blunted even the sharpest cutting tools, etc. Having nowhere to go humanity organized itself under the guidance of not the deities themselves but people they've chosen worthy to represent their will. These individual blessed by the gods were proficient at using Sacred Arts and showed humankind new rituals and ways that people could put them to use in everyday life. It it not known when exactly but a shrine in form of a large marble spire was erected in the center of Centoria, over the years new layers would be added and it would be known as the Central Cathedral. That marked the beginning of the Axiom Church and its ruler would take up the tittle of Administrator of the Human Empire. Walls were raised to delimit the emerging four kingdoms inside the empire, each developing its unique customs, traditions and ruling system. A Senate was formed with high class members from each kingdom. They, alongside the Integrity Knights, reside in the Central Cathedral from where they delegate the Church's orders throughout the empire. Sometime after, the foundation of the Sword Mastery Academy was set. Studying swordsmanship at this academy is the aspiration of all people with military-oriented <Sacred Tasks> and not only. Nobles throughout the empire send their children here to train here in order to gain a reputation for themselves while the common people dream to attend the school in order to either rise their social status or join the Integrity Knights. Through the Senate and the Integrity Knights, the Church was able to maintain its rule over the Human Empire for years on, and its doing so even now. These days, common folk don't really know or care about the existence of the Administrator as they barely made any public appearance in the last years. The Integrity Knights are the public figures of the Church.

Mythology World Genesis The story told by the Axiom Church, that got adopted as the absolute truth by the Human Empire residents, begins like so: There are at least four main Deities and a minor deity in the pantheon and they don't bare any kind of familiar relationship one with another. The Deity of Creation Stacia - representing life and creation. Legends say they rule over all animate and inanimate objects in the form of Life or <Durability>. It is believed those who pass away are summoned back by Stacia. Marriages in the Human Empire are pledged to Stacia, who blesses the couple and allows them to have children. The Sun Deity Solus - sharing the same name as the Underworld's brightest star. It is believed that Solus blesses the world in form of its sunrays that increase the surrounding Sacred Power. However its blessings diminish over night when Solus no longer watches over the land. The Land Deity Terraria - the deity of the land that provides blessings to plants and is the patron of metalworkers and craftsmen. It is said that through the earth spreads Sacred Power as its blessing but this source of power is limited in cities and above ground. The Darkness Deity Vecta - the ruler of the Dark Territory and the only god worshiped there. Deity known for its mischief as it is known that it pulls pranks on humans in forms of disease and famine or kidnapping people and stealing their memories. The Moon Deity Lunaria - said to control the dreams of Underworld's residents and watch over them in the night.
  4. Disclaimer: This is a pre-alpha version of a attempt to emulate the 'Underworld' Virtual Reality world into a viable text-based roleplay forum. Based on Reki Kawahara's 4th Arc of the original SAO Light Novels Vol. 9-18 as well as the animated adaptation SAO III . While it will be heavily based on the source material, there will be discrepancies between the author's original 'world' and our interpretation. This thread(and forum section) will contain a large amount of spoilers regarding to the Alicization Arc. For testing purposes, there will only be permitted the creation of Artificial Fluctlight characters and little to no information about the 'Real World' would be revealed.     P R O F I L E Username: Narnia Real name: Mentina Cho Nationality: American-Japanese Age: 19 Gender: Female Height: 5'6" B I O Mentina’s story starts in a little remote town in Japan, the type where everyone knew everyone so outsiders were quite obvious. This would be how her parents met each other, with her Dad being the adventurous American that stumbled there. He had come across her in the street when they bumped into each other, and after that the rest was history. They would then go on to have two children, with them being 4 years apart. Mentina would be the second one, her name coming from the Italian word for Clementine, “Clementina”. Growing up, Mentina had a stricter life than most. Her father was ex-military so he tried to instill his values into his family, though he wasn't very adamant about it so to Mentina and her brother they were just like house rules. Every year they would visit their family in the states and go hunting, this would later fuel her reasoning for getting into GGO. Her brother was the person who got her into gaming though shooters appealed to her the most. While she did play MMOs with him as a sort of bonding, shooters were what she had a knack for. Eventually, her brother got a copy of SAO, leaving her behind. Luckily, he was one of the few players to get out, though he lost his spark for VRMMOs. In the time he was stuck, however, Mentina had hit pro level in terms of skills for shooters, though never actually went pro. Knowing that his little sister had some potential, he recommended her to GGO, something a bit more tactical than she was used too, though the experience might be something she enjoyed. V I R T U E S Passionate - Game are her passion, so when she's in them she tries to give it her all. Most around Narnia could tell that she takes the game seriously, perhaps a bit too seriously. This virtue shows when Narnia tries to do crafty things in game, attempting to loophole something or another. Trusting - While Narnia has a very solo-player-like personality, she in reality really enjoys playing with other people. With that in mind, she's quick to trust players a few moments after meeting them. While she isn't super friendly to them (she's not super friendly with anybody), Narnia does allow herself to let her guard down after trusting someone, whether it be for better or worse. (Insert Virtue here. Must be 3 sentences minimum.) F L A W S Disloyal - Narnia has never been one who's keen on working together with random people, and even then she has issues trusting people. When it comes to fighting against others or just being in a group in general, Narnia is, for the most part, obedient. She doesn't go out of her way to antagonize her leader though she is definitely the first one to abandon them if things get hairy, the plan goes wrong, or if in general they are losing pretty badly. Narnia is a woman of little faith and little hope. Narcissistic - Though she has a good history of being higher than average at shooters, Narnia has let this label get to her head. She doesn't view herself as being better than those that she plays with, though she does like to mention her skill if given the chance to. This also fuels her competitiveness, her belief in her skill being the main reason she does any form of PVP or title claiming. (Insert Flaw here. Must be 3 sentences minimum.) She has a round face with a bit of baby fat clinging on the edges, and big body proportions and an hourglass shape. Her skin is porcelain, her hair is a straight black with her bangs parted to the right and the length going past her shoulders. Her avatar was blue eyes that are a mix of azure and dark blue, as well as having two beauty marks below the outer corners of each eye. She wears a black, long-sleeved shirt, black pants and black walking boots when she's in a safe zone. When outside, she wears a form-fitting Kevlar vest, black cargo pants and combat boots. All of them black, and her bangs are held back by black clips. She also wears black fingerless gloves for better grip. About: The eldest daughter of a family of six, often taking the role of head of the household due to her parents traveling abroad for work purposes. As such, she developed a responsible, motherly persona to help her combat the frustrations that came with dealing with three siblings. When her parents weren't around she was excused from school (which happened very often) and took online courses instead. Causing her to become an absolute mess of a socialist when dealing with other people. To help her wilting confidence (and wanting to spend some time with his sister), her little brother introduced her to Gale Gun Online, where he played with friends. Originally skeptical, she hopped on broad with the idea after understanding the appeal of VRMMORPGs. However, the idea faded from her mind fast, and it wasn't until months later when she watch an interview with someone from GGO did she remember the idea. Then she forgot about it again when she got distracted by another video. After another week she had enough of her own poor memory, and deciding not to put it off any longer, she brought out her AmuSphere and dived in. Virtues: Kind: Aquirs often goes out of her way to help anyone in need. Even when said person asks that she jump off a cliff. Must be her big-sister instincts trying to mother everyone to her will. Responsible: She was often left in charge of her entire household. Making her very aware of needs, wants and budgets. As well as the well being of those around her. Aquirs herself is quite ignorant of this fact, believing herself to be lazy, despite it being shoved in her face. Good At Multitasking: She could cook, talk on the phone, and mop her kitchen all at the same time. Carrying a baby in one arm and making a bottle of milk in the other is a piece of cake for her. Aquirs herself finds her own work a bit creepy sometimes. Flaws: Clumsy: Due to almost never getting out of the house, as well as inherited genes, Aquirs trips at least twice a day. As well as getting injured often in places she can't quite explain. She is resigned to the fact that she'll never run a marathon without tripping over her own feet. Forgetful: Aquirs often forgets a lot of things in rapid succession. One time even forgetting that she was holding something in her hand, and only becoming known to its presence when she was twenty minutes away from her house. She tried a lot of ways to curb her bad memory (lists, memos, etc.), but ends up forgetting about it anyways. Emotionally Sensitive: Aquirs doesn't get out a lot, and that becomes apparent when she interacts with someone far longer than normal. Frustration is enough to make her cry. Happiness is closer to hysteria. And her all around shy nature makes it near impossible to have a long-term conversation with her. However, once you wormed your way into her heart (a very easy feat all things considered), she will show her true personality. A king, caring person who will mother you to death and also point out all of your flaws in the bluntest way possible. Emotional and social grace of a flying brick, this one is.   10. «Learning a Craft» Background Information: In order for players to do well in GGO, they need to have a steady income of Credits. Some go and hunt monsters and players alike, some participate in tournaments like the Bullet of Bullets tournament. For others, they may earn a living and take up a profession. Description: During your search for a profession you will enter the craftsman’s hall. It’s a closed area within the SBC Glocken that houses all the profession instructors. You will find one instructor for each profession there is to choose from and by talking to them, you can learn about the different professions. Once you have decided which way you want to go, your instructor has a mission for you. You will have to material hunt, for this purpose, you have to leave the SBC Glocken and either hunt some mobs (drops according to the loot section in the tutorial) or search for them without fighting (according to non combat gathering in the tutorial). Then you’ll have to craft your first Item (LD 51-100) to receive a free basic item from the NPC (such as the tools and workbench for your profession).   11. «Finding a Friend» Background Information: Villagers in a small town in the Wasteland have called for players to investigate what is described as 'strange activity' at a nearby, abandoned warehouse. They are reporting strange sounds from the warehouse and are growing suspicious by the day, fearing it may be bandits or something worse, something that could potentially destroy their village. Description: You've been asked to investigate a warehouse for the locals of a nearby village for any suspicious activity. Find the source of the strange noises and activity, and report back to the villagers with your findings. Requirements/Notes Must have done a total of at least 24 posts/1 page Recommended Level: Any Must complete all mission objectives before completing the thread. Players doing this quest cannot have their thread invaded This quest cannot be repeated unless your companion is dead or retired The companion acquired can either be an automaton or a creature. The companion cannot be any larger than a large dog if an animal, or larger than you if an automaton.   12. «Whispers of the Hive» Background Information: When humanity returned to Earth after the war that had ravaged its landscape, they were not alone. Many alien creatures had made the harsh environment that covered the Earth its home. Humanity established its own foothold on Earth, but it would not take long to discover that Earth was no longer truly theirs, with unspeakable horrors roaming both the surface, and the underground. Description: There are rumors of a new threat emerging from the underground caverns that reside under SBC Glocken. Find out what exactly this threat is, and report back. Be careful.   13. «Search or Destroy» Background Information: Bandits have been raiding small villages, taking whatever supplies they have. Some villagers are desperate, asking that you make sure the supplies are returned at all costs. However, some of the more spiteful and vengeful villagers are demanding that the supplies are destroyed, along with every bandit, denying any more bandits from taking anything. Returning the supplies may yield more work in the future, but destroying the supplies and the bandits will be rewarded handsomely. Description: You have been tasked with locating stolen supplies, taken by bandits from local villages. The choice is yours to either search for the supplies, or destroy them. Requirements/Notes Must have done a total of at least 24 posts/1 page Recommended Level: 5+ Must complete all primary objectives before completing the thread. Players doing this quest cannot have their thread invaded Quest Location: The Wasteland Primary Objectives 1. Must RP being told by both the desperate villagers and the spiteful villagers of the situation, the desperate villagers asking you to return the supplies and the spiteful villagers asking you to destroy the supplies. 2. Must RP travelling to the abandoned city where the bandits have hidden the caches, takes a couple of hours to get there from the village 3. Must successfully locate the 3 supply caches (LD 60+) (These caches CANNOT be looted) 4. Must kill the bandits guarding each supply caches (x * 5 <Bandit> per cache, x being the number of players. Caches and bandits start at Position 0, Players start at either Position 2 or -2.) 5a - Search. Tag the supplies (done through RP) for the desperate villagers so they are able to find and retrieve their supplies. After tagging all supplies, return to the village to deliver the news to the desperate villagers. 5b - Destroy. Destroy the supplies (done through RP) to please the vengeful villagers. After destroying at least one of the supplies, return to the village to deliver the news to the vengeful villagers. Rewards - Search - 1 Skill Point - 500 Credits - Access to <<A Dark Secret>> quest. The purpose of this is to train new players on basic skills needed to play and survive GGO. The bootcamp is led by an NPC that goes by the name of <Lt. Blackstone>. Blackstone looks and acts like any other drill sergeant that you would know. You’ll find him at the bootcamp known as F.O.B Scorpion, which is a little bit outside of SBC Glocken. Description: For the third part of your training at bootcamp, you'll be taught about the important skill, crafting. You’ll be expected to leave the safety of F.O.B Scorpion once again and use your skills in searching for materials, bring back materials from your search and successfully craft an item. Requirements/Notes Must have done a total of at least 5 posts Maximum Party size of 2 Cannot take this mission if higher than level 10, or if you have done this mission before Must complete all primary objectives before completing the thread. Players doing this quest cannot have their thread invaded Must have finished the mission <<Bootcamp Part 2- The North>> before starting this mission. Blackstone looks and acts like any other drill sergeant that you would know. You’ll find him at the bootcamp known as F.O.B Scorpion, which is a little bit outside of SBC Glocken. Description: For the second part of your training at bootcamp, you'll be taught more about the world you’re in. You’ll be expected to leave the safety of F.O.B Scorpion and use your skills in searching for materials. Requirements/Notes Must have done a total of at least 5 posts Maximum Party size of 2 Cannot take this mission if higher than level 10, or if you have done this mission before Must complete all primary objectives before completing the thread. Along with player-ran shops, there is a large gun market near the center of SBC Glocken that sells guns, armor, ammo and various other utilities to help players gain an upper hand in the wastelands of Gun Gale Online. When posting in the market, write a passage of role-play accompanied by a spoiler containing what you wish to purchase, and a staff member will approve or deny your purchase. As long as you keep track of your money and the prices of what you’re buying there should be no problem with approval. All guns come with one mag pre-loaded upon approval. Unless specifically stated otherwise, all items for sale are of <<Standard>>> rarity. «Firing Mode» Single Fire: You must roll the BD each time for each shot, which is determined by your SPP value. You do not use your TD Full Auto: You must roll the BD once to determine if your attack does hit. If it does hit, you check the TD of the same roll to see how many shots hit, where your damage is calculated by (weapon damage * no. of times hit). Each consecutive attack also incurs a -1 BD penalty, to a maximum of 5. Your TD cannot be modified. «Notes» Primaries/Primary Weapons can only be used in the primary slot and cannot be used with the Dual Wield skill. Secondaries/Sidearms can be used in either the primary or secondary slot and can be used with the Dual Wield skill. Two Handed/Heavy Weapons refer to a weapon that requires two hands to be handled, and cannot be used with the Dual Wield skill. PP is an abbreviation for 'per pellet'.
